Sarah and Mike celebrated turning 50 together by gathering all their friends and family to revel in the end of summer at their gorgeous, lovingly refurbished home in Suffolk – opening their doors to welcome everyone in for a great summer party. Creating a concept that was grounded within the gorgeous Suffolk country setting, the look and feel of the birthday party was one of low-fi luxe, rather than out-and-out ostentation. Everything felt natural, organic and artisanal, instantly encouraging guests to feel at home and in a relaxed, celebratory mood. With a chic festival feel, the décor channelled a bohemian vibe in all its indigo tie-dye glory and gorgeousness. The styling lent itself to an inky blue colour palette and rich botanicals that mixed fern and foliage with evergreen florals. Fun and frivolity were chief at this event, with plenty of games and goings-on. From the foliage-wrapped wigwams, fruit-shaped water bombs hanging from the orchard, and the dedicated dance tent and space hopper races, to the tuck shop area and nail bar, inflatables that surrounded the pool and the lawn games – guests were guaranteed a fun time from the moment they arrived.
