Nicole and Dave’s relationship sparked with an office romance. The pair kissed each other goodnight in a cab after Friday night work drinks and haven’t looked back since.
Dave proposed while the couple was living in New York City. On an unassuming Wednesday evening, he got down on one knee at the top of The Standard Hotel.
The couple enlisted event stylist, Georgeous to style their wedding from the get-go. Seeing as the reception was set to be held at The Royal Botanic Gardens in Melbourne, the team used the grounds as their main source of inspiration, along with a colour palette of peaches, pinks and apricots.
They set up a beautiful marquee with Peppercorn trailing from the overhead festoon lighting, a circular feature table overflowing with blooms sitting atop an Armadillo and Co rug, and pockets of outdoor furniture for guests to rest their dancing feet.
‘We wanted to keep the wedding classic and understated, one that we could look back on in years to come and still love as much as we did on the day,’ said Nicole.
‘We were so lucky with the weather and the clear roof of the Marquee design felt like we were dining under the stars.’
And we know you’re all dying to find out where Nicole’s stunning gown is from, right?
‘I was living in New York at the time and I had recently been through the process of helping my friend find a dress so I immediately knew all the places to hit….I ended up choosing an Oscar de la Renta gown. I figured it was difficult to go wrong with a piece by Oscar!’ said Nicole.
